Can't connect to Snapt

If you can't connect to the Snapt interface it is most likely one of two things: 

  1. A firewall on the host.
  2. The IP is not present on the network cards.

If you are using a Snapt image you don't need to worry about firewalls. Otherwise, check that you have opened port 8080/8081 for web access. 

To check the IP address run: ifconfig -a

You should see your IP address bound to the ethernet card you chose. If you do not, it may be misconfigured or the IP may already exist on the network.

You can check /var/log/messages and "dmesg" for more information after a reboot.
